Like the tango, trash cleanups are a two-step. First you bag filth, then you gracefully pirouette and use that cred to demand change. And like every good dance, it's better with friends!

If you'd like to join our furry little pack, keep an eye on our Cleanups page or email me to be added to our list. Or, if you'd like to get your paws dirty with some good old fashioned direct democracy, here's who to contact about our respective sites. Keep your message friendly and short, send pics, and talk about how trash affects you personally!

Grizzly Peak:
- The UC Regents;
- Cal's Office of Sustainability;
- Cal's Facilities Department and its head, Felix DeLeon ([email protected]);
- Cal's Zero Waste Program and its head, Lin King ([email protected]);
- Oakland Public Works and OAK311 (Oakland owns the road and a narrow strip of right of way);
- Janani Ramachandran, Oakland District 4;

- Nikki Fortunato Bas, Alameda County District 5;
- Buffy Wicks, State Assembly District 14;
- Tim Grayson, State Senate District 9;
- Brent Blackaby, Berkeley District 6 (Grizzly Peak is outside Berkeley's city limits, but his district has strong sway);
- Gavin Newsom, Governor (Gavin's big on litter cleanups).

Point Isabel:
- The East Bay Regional Park District (Point Isabel is owned and operated by the EBRPD);
- The City of Richmond sewer maintenance department (the trash at this site appears to be street litter runoff from that city);
- Buffy Wicks, State Assembly District 14;
- Jesse Arreguin, State Senate District 7;
- Gavin Newsom, Governor.

Do right. Fear no one. Don't litter.
